Born in the chaos of 2021, KIN. started when Adan Richards began cranking out demos from a spare room. One by one, the rest of the band fell into place, and with the release of [chaos], they cemented their place in Adelaide’s brutal underground scene. Louie Workman (vocals), Eli Reardon (bass), Dylan Di Palo (drums), and Adan (guitar) make up KIN. - a force that’s been tearing through stages since the lineup solfidified in 2023.

Adelaide might be a small city, but its scene is ruthless, kept alive by venues like The Cranker, where filthy breakdowns and carnage rule. KIN. fits right in, rising alongside other heavy hitters and working with local legend Jared Nettle, who’s mixed all their releases.

KIN.’s sound is savage, combining chaotic, off-kilter rhythms, skull-crushing grooves, and ignorant breakdowns that hit like a hammer. Inspired by bands like Meshuggah, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, and Humanity’s Last Breath, they bring a volatile mix of hardcore, death, and metalcore that’s as unpredictable as it is punishing. Lyrically, they don’t pull punches, diving into the most disturbing corners of life—war, violence, personal demons, and the human condition at its absolute worst.

Offstage, KIN. keeps things DIY. Eli handles everything from photography and design, while Adan, a PhD candidate in psychology, draws from his research into trauma and psychosis to fuel the band's darker, more disturbing lyrical content. Every member brings their own intensity, refining each track until it’s as raw and unforgiving as they are on stage.

KIN. has dropped their debut EP [chaos] (2023) and a relentless two-track [inflict] (2024), with new material already in the works. Their latest tracks rip apart themes of war and mental breakdowns, inspired by real horror and inner torment. With 50,000 streams under their belt and support slots for acts like The Gloom In The Corner and HEAVENSGATE, KIN. is just getting started. They’re ready to push things further, playing more shows and taking their sound to new extremes—faster, heavier, and more savage with every track.
